WHAT IS REFLECTIONS? Reflections is an annual arts recognition program sponsored by the National PTA. It is designed to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. Click the links below for rules regarding each art category. Make sure to read all the rules for your category. Any piece submitted that does not follow the rules will be disqualified. This is a student-created original project. Parents or teachers can't help students. |
Visual Arts-2D Please note that Visual Arts-3D art is NOT being accepted by LWPTSA Council; only 2D entries are allowed. Examples of 3D: architecture, carpentry, ceramics, jewelry, kites, dioramas, mobiles, etc. |

How to Enter |
Each submission must have a Student Entry Form. Fill out the form HERE. |
Deadline: Tuesday October 29, 2024. All Forms must be submitted using the above link and physical entries turned into the Mead office no later then 3:50pm. |
How to Submit |
2D Visual Arts: Please turn in your entries into the Reflections box at the Mead office/reception area. Make sure your students name is written on the back of your entry. Photography, Literature, Film, Music, and Dance: Email your file containing your entry to [email protected]. If the file is too large to email, submit the file in a thumb drive in the Reflections box. Student name should be on the drive. |
Awards and Recognition |
School winners will be announced during the week of November 11th 2024. All school-level winners will move on to the district-level competition. These students will be awarded with a ribbon and a certificate. All participants will receive a participation ribbon and certificate. Theme Search Contest |
National PTA is seeking a theme for the 2026-2027 Reflections Program Year. The deadline for the 2026-2027 WSPTA Reflections Theme Search Contest is Monday, November 4, 2024.
Washington students at schools with an active PTA/PTSA may submit their theme ideas (with parent/guardian authorization). The Washington State PTA Programs Committee will select a top 5 to submit to National PTA. The top 5 will be announced in November after the submission deadline.
The student whose entry is chosen as the winner will receive a $100 prize from National PTA, and the winning theme will be announced at the 2025 National PTA Convention!
