Message from our PTSA President Ryika Hooshangi HERE
Join and show your support for Mead PTSA!

Please contribute to our Pass the Hat Fundraiser! Due to remote learning, this will be our major fundraiser for the year.

THANK YOU to everyone who has already contributed. We’ve currently raised $1,405 of our $25,000 goal.

100% of the money raised goes directly to support our students at Mead Elementary!

Please consider showing your support as we continue to help improve our students’ virtual experience and put on events that bring our community together.

For more information on what the PTSA funds, click here:

Our suggested donation is $50-$100 per student, but any amount is greatly appreciated!

Apart but together, we are all Mustangs!

With so much uncertainty surrounding the future of in-person school, we appreciate the challenges and tough decisions our Mead families are facing.

But, don’t forget the Mead PTSA is here for you!

Whether you decide to commit to online schooling, homeschooling, or in-person learning, Mead PTSA events will be open to ALL families. Our goal is to be able to provide every child a connection to our Mead community, whether they are learning virtually or in person.

We have many fun upcoming events, so don’t delay in joining PTSA for the first time or renewing your annual membership.

Join the Nominating Committee

We are looking for three volunteers to serve on the Mead PTSA Nominating Committee. This is the team that makes sure next year's PTSA board has people on it! It's a minimal time commitment, but a super important job! Please consider stepping forward to ensure there is a smooth transition between this  and next year. Serving on the Nominating Committee is a great way to learn about all the things the PTSA does for our school. Please email Leta Hamilton, [email protected] with any questions.

Green Challenge from the PTSA Sustainability Team

Your PTSA Sustainability Team will be working hard this year to help the school community to become more sustainable. What does that mean?

Sustainability is working with the environment to improve our ecological balance by avoiding depletion of natural resources. Sustainable practices include waste reduction, composting any waste food, swapping supplies to include recycled products or switching to products that are packaged with recyclable materials, water conservation and using greener cleaning practices.

During this strange time we will communicate through the Timberline Times. So look out for tips and tricks for reducing waste, conserving water and more information on the King County Green Schools Initiative.

Your current challenge: Complete a home recycling audit. Do you recycle everything you can? What fills your trash up the most and can you change that product so that you have less going in the trash?

To help our with this challenge, here is Waste Management's recycle guide
