Thank you all for coming to the Reflections Reception. It is such a great opportunity to celebrate our young artists! If you didn't make it, your ribbon and certificate was delivered to your teacher's mailbox last week and will be coming home shortly.

Independent judges/artists blindly scored all submitted pieces for interpretation of the theme (50%), creativity (25%) and mastery of the medium (25%) and advancement was based on judges scores. Advancers' art was delivered to Redmond to be judged with other pieces from across the school district to determine the art pieces that will advance to state level. Council is typically announcing the results during the last week of December. All art submitted to LWSD will be celebrated and displayed at an open house at the LWSD Resource Center at the Redmond Town Center. The open house is on Friday, Jan. 11th from 4 to 8 p.m. All of the advancers from all over the school district will have their work on display. Mark your calendars to come see the art and enjoy another fun evening.

In January, most art will return to Mead (unless traveling to State or National competition) and we will proudly display all Visual Art and Photography entries in the library before they return home to each artist in late March.

Congratulations to all students! Join me in congratulating our advancers:
