Your leftover Halloween candy can help put smiles on the faces of our Troops, Veterans and First Responders!

The Mead PTSA Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team is hosting our first-ever Halloween Candy Give-back. Candy sent-in will be donated to Operation Gratitude, a volunteer-based organization that annually sends 250,000+ care packages to Veterans, New Recruit Graduates, First Responders, Wounded Heroes, Caregivers, and to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed overseas and their families. Your candy donations will be included in the many care packages that are sent out each year. In 2017, more than 400,000 pounds of candy was donated to Operation Gratitude and distributed to America’s Heroes through its care package programs.

All you need to do is send in any leftover or unwanted Halloween Candy to school by November 7th. Please, no loose candy, pixie sticks, or other powdery candy. Teachers will have a donation bin in their classroom for students to drop their candy.
