Welcome back to school everyone! The PTSA is excited to get working with parents, staff and students to make it another great year at Mead! I’d like to encourage you to join the PTSA and donate to help us fund the amazing programs we offer at Mead.
The PTSA fundraises in a variety of ways raising money to be directed towards a variety of programs, events and projects at school. Here are some of the following exciting things that we are looking forward to sponsoring this year:
Please join us at our first ever fundraising Auction Gala November 10th! It will be a fun night of dinner and raising money for Mead. If you are not able to attend, donations may be made online.
Be sure you’re clipping Box Tops from participating brands. You will be receiving box top collection sheets soon. If each student at mead fills a sheet it will raise $1,200 for Mead…all for items you’d purchase anyway!
Also keep your eye open for upcoming restaurant and sports nights – Mead will receive portions of profits from meals & tickets purchased. Funds we raise directly impact your students at Mead.
These PTSA sponsored funds go to some of the important causes below:
Over $12,000/year is spent reimbursing teachers for items they’ve purchased for their classroom, in addition $11,000 pays for online reading and math programs (IXL, Raz Kids, AR)
We also purchase supplies to fill a storage shed of emergency food/water and supplies, provide scholarships and financial aid to for families and sponsor a number of fun events throughout the year – and the list goes on.
Check out the calendar for some of these upcoming events: Ice Cream Social, Dudes and Donuts, Gingerbread house decorating night, Spelling Bee and Math challenge! In addition to financial donations, the PTSA provides some amazing volunteers. Sign ups are available online.
Currently we’re looking for help with upcoming events, Lunch Line Servers and Production room volunteers.
We can’t provide the support to Mead without the generous support of the parents.
