Welcome back to school Mead Mustangs! As we dive into remote learning, I wanted to wish everyone the very best for the new school year. Although school is looking very different this year, the Mead teachers and staff are hard at work as always, and your PTSA is working behind the scenes to make sure this year is a success.

The PTSA is re-imagining many of our favorite programs for this year and even some new events, with the hopes of continuing to bring our Mead families together—like our virtual ice cream social, Spirit Week, Math Challenge, international night, a virtual cooking class, and many more events. Stay tuned for our complete Calendar of Events!

We continue to support our students and staff by providing teachers with over $13,000 in class funds; $16,000 in grants and over $7,000 in stipends, among many other things. We have already paid over $4,000 in grants for school supplies that students received, as well as online programming. We are only able to do this with the generous support of our parents. Please be sure to become a PTSA member, and if you are able, participate in our Pass the Hat fundraiser online so that we can provide the support our teachers and staff need during these unprecedented times.

A few reminders:

• Mead PTSA Spirit Week is Sept. 28th - Oct. 2nd. If you would like to order Spirit Wear for your family and be able to receive it in time for Spirit Week, please order by Sept. 11th. The new designs and ordering details can be found on our website.
• If you haven't already, please "like" Margaret Mead Elementary PTSA on Facebook to see photos, hear about events sponsored by the PTSA and stay connected.
• Support our school and become a PTSA member (no volunteering required), please visit www.meadptsa.org.

Fundraising:

• Double your donation If you would like to donate, many employers like Microsoft, Boeing and Expedia will match your donations made to the PTSA.
• Don’t forget to designate Mead PTSA on Amazon Smile. Every time you shop on Amazon, the Mead PTSA will receive a small portion of funds spent.
• Be sure to clip your Box Tops—either virtually or physically
