Calling for Volunteers!
The Used Book Fair, which traditionally happens during Winter conference week, is in danger of being stricken from our schedule due to lack of manpower.
This is a great event at Mead where books can be passed on from family to family, where literary treasures can be found and discovered by the kids, and all for a small fraction of the price anywhere else. In addition, all the kids at Mead get a ticket for a free book and some have expressed looking forward to this fair since the Fall.
But circumstances have found this great event in peril. If you're interested in volunteering to try and save this tradition or just want more details before you make your decision, please contact Sharon Mason at [email protected].
We need volunteers to help collect donated books, set up, take down, run the fair, and transport extra used books to donation facility.
This will take place Jan. 28- 31 in the Mead Library during conference week.
Hours open: Tuesday 1/28 11:50 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Wednesday 1/29 1:50 p.m.- 3 p.m.
Thursday 1/30 11:50 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday, 1/31 11:50 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Also we will need help collecting books starting on Jan. 23rd.
